Speedie & Associates has worked on projects all across Arizona from north to south, east to west. In fact, it's rare when a client inquires about a piece of land we haven't touched in some way since our inception in 1980. We've worked for public and private clients, and our resume of projects is expansive.

McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic & Fitness Center
Scottsdale, Arizona
- The pool features an 8-lane lap pool, 1 and 3-meter diving boards, tube water slide, lazy river, zero-depth entry play pool, spray pad, party island. In addition to the aquatic amenities, the Center also includes a skate park, fitness center, veranda seating, grassy/shaded areas for picnics, restroom facilities, parking and playground.
Brophy College Prep Aquatic Center
Phoenix, Arizona
- The Edward A. Reese, S.J. Aquatic Center features an Olympic-sized pool, as well as the Bob Kohnen Poolhouse that includes classrooms and locker rooms.
Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center
Chandler, Arizona
- Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center is a shared-use facility adjacent to Basha High School. The facility boasts a lazy river with a bridge waterfall and a family play pool; an SCS interactive water feature with a 6-foot 725-gallon tumble bucket; two waterslides; water vortex; water spray pad; and an eight-lane competition pool.
Jewish Community Center Pool Complex Renovation
Scottsdale, Arizona
- The renovation included the removal of existing slabs, underground piping, any unsuitable soil, and potentially the pool shell, as well as the reconstruction or placement of the same items. S&A provided construction materials testing.
Westin Kierland Resort & Spa Pools
Scottsdale, Arizona
- Geotechnical investigation for swimming pools, water features, and spa construction.
EVO Swim School
Mesa, Arizona
- Geotechnical investigation for swim school facility with 6,640 SF building and outdoor pool.
ASU Hyatt
Tempe, Arizona
- This 259-room, dual-branded hotel is located just north of the northeast corner of the intersection of E. Veterans Way and E. 6th St. in Tempe. The hotel features rooftop amenities that include a pool, bar, outdoor gathering area, and fitness center.
Revel Surf
Mesa, Arizona
- Revel Surf, a 3.3-acre surf lagoon, is planned for a May 2022 opening. The rest of the development, which includes a hotel, office space and eateries, will open at a later date. S&A provided geotechnical services.
Crystal Lagoons
Glendale, Arizona
- The main feature of the project will be an 11-acre Public Access Lagoonâ„¢ that will be up to 10-feet deep. The one-of-a-kind destination will also offer shops, themed restaurants, attractions, and entertainment venues. Crystal Lagoons is expected to open in 2022 ahead of Glendale's hosting of the Super Bowl in 2023.
Wet N' Wild (now Six Flags Hurricane Harbor)
Glendale, Arizona
- S&A has worked on this site since 2008 when the water park introduced five new buildings, wave pool addition, new slides, and new shade structures. In 2012 we provided an additional investigation for the addition of an office building and splash pad. We were back at the park in 2019 for the addition of the new Hurricane Activity Pool with surrounding ramadas, shade canopies and cananas.

- Geotechnical investigation provided for pool renovation.
Great Wolf Lodge
Scottsdale, Arizona
- Great Wolf Lodge Arizona, which opened in Fall 2019, is the 18th Lodge to be built and is part of a growing list of vacation destinations in the US and Canada.
- This unique concept offers a six-story, 350-room lodge on an 18-acre site. The Lodge's amenities include an 85,000 SF indoor waterpark, a 27,000 SF family entertainment center (including climbing wall, ropes course, mini golf, and more), and nearly 6,500 SF of flexible conference space with breakout rooms.
